Sachet Filling
As one of the leading UK chemical suppliers ReAgent offers a range of sachet filling, sachet packing and sachet manufacturing services. A new facility is in place to meet customer demands for sachet filling liquids, powders, gels and creams, in a range of sachet sizes including 30mm, 50mm and 100mm widths and any length between 40mm and 160mm.
The bespoke machine has been manufactured to ReAgent's specific requirements and has stainless steel contact parts ensuring that most substances can be handled efficiently. The new equipment is known as a volumetric form fill and seal machine and comes with 2 different dispensing systems, an auger system for powders and a volumetric pump system for liquids, gels and creams.

Fill Rate
It offers a fill rate of between 30 and 60 bags per minute which has dramatically increased daily output from around 1,000 units to a very comfortable 15,000+ units depending on filling material and sachet size. As such it has dramatically increased ReAgent's capability to meet most customer demands.
Printing
A single colour transfer printer ensures that each sachet is labelled correctly with the relevant batch number or alternatively customers can provide their own labels for use which can be overprinted with the batch number. A service exists to buy in pre-printed labels if preferred which can then be printed with the batch reference number.
Sachet materials are laminates and ReAgent offers paper/PE, PET/Aluminium foil, PE/PET, Nylon/PE which can be tailored to customer requirements. The finished bags have 3 seals, one at the top, one at the base and one at the rear. They can be filled with between 1g and 100g in powder by weight whilst the liquid pump can fill between 1ml and 100ml. Liquids may vary in viscosity from water to a thick gel or paste.

Minimum Runs
Minimum runs are around 1,000 sachets whilst orders of 50,000 and more can readily be met. So long as the product is compatible with stainless steel, most substances can be packed although services are specifically aimed at the chemical and cosmetics industries.
